Reiki Organizations
No CommentsFor those interested to learn Reiki – whether they are beginners or have already begun to learn about it – it is exceedingly important that they work with Reiki organizations in order to do so.
Why is this so? Reiki is extremely popular these days. It is a healing art that is currently being practiced by millions worldwide, which means that there is a correspondingly large amount of resources available to those who wish to learn about it and practice it. It is thus quite logical to conclude that it would be extremely easy to just avail of one or more of these resources, whether print, audio, video, or online, in order to self-educate one about Reiki.
It is indeed simple and quick – the “work of a moment” in many cases – to find information relating to Reiki. Much good information is available online, most of it for free; and many more sources can be bought either online or in brick and mortar stores. Therefore it would seem easy enough to learn Reiki just through working with these sources.
But learning Reiki cannot be accomplished by just reading a book or manual or watching a video – far from it. People who wish to learn it must find Reiki organizations or masters who are willing to teach and mentor, and work closely with them in order to learn more.
There is one major reason as to why this is the case. Reiki is not something that one can teach oneself, not even if one has access to the best sources of information on the subject. A significant amount of knowledge regarding this healing art needs to be passed on from person to person and cannot simply be picked up or gleaned from sources of information. It may be convenient or even less expensive to do so, but using sources such as these is better suited to bolstering the direct instruction one receives from a Reiki master or group.
This is why a certificate that has been duly issued by a recognized master or group is no less than a necessity for those who wish to practice Reiki. Certification proves that a person has, in the eyes of those who have certified that person, successfully met all the requirements – and has thus qualified – to be called a Reiki practitioner or master. Only those so certified may be able to practice Reiki or teach it to others.
Secondly, would-be practitioners need to be able to have hands-on experience and practice this healing art to get better at it. Practice, as the saying goes, makes perfect. And only in a controlled setting – like that provided by a master or in a Reiki organization – can such practice take place.
Reiki organizations, or simply less-organized groups of those who are interested in this healing art, are not at all hard to find. As with so many other organizations these days, most if not all can be found using the internet.
